Competition
We participate in five to six practice meets per season, to prepare for AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) district, regional, and national competitions for athletes who qualify. Find our current meet schedule here.
Training
Our training is based on form and function principals. The basics include stretching, calisthenics, weightlifting, and resistance training to improve performance. Once an athlete acquires a solid understanding of their event and is physically competitive, we tailor their training to maximize strengths and minimize weaknesses.
Scholarships
The Striders have a long history of training athletes to compete in college and university track and field programs. We know how the system works, and how to connect our athletes with scholarship opportunities. We focus on providing scholarship opportunities for our athletes, and offer a scholarship for one male and one female athlete each year at the end of the season.
